Nero Marquina Black Marble

Nero Marquina Marble is possibly the most well known black marble worldwide, due to the intensity and homogeneity of its black background, its characteristic white veins and its high volumen of production.
It is a black reef limestone with fine grain and very typical calcite white veins. It is extracted from the quarries of Markina (Biscay), Spain. Today similar colored stones also quarried in China.
Natural & Unique
Due to its natural creation and evolution, every piece of marble is unique; slabs originating from the same block will all exhibit slight changes in veining or color from the other slabs, resulting in every single slab and block being classified as one-of-a-kind. In a way, it feels like you own an original piece of artwork by nature.
